About Us

In 2011, Jaymie Leigh Thomas took a leap of faith and signed on to teach a community education yoga class for the local community college.

For seven years, she owned and operated Peace of Mine Yoga Studio in downtown Morrilton offering a weekly schedule of classes taught by a team of dedicated instructors. In 2022, she made the tough decision to close the studio closed and since then Jaymie Leigh and her team have continued to share yoga with their community through special events and partnerships with local gyms.

Jaymie Leigh is a speech language pathologist and a yoga instructor.  She is certified to teach yoga, yoga for kids, and barre.

She says, “The very first time I took a yoga class I remember driving home and thinking, I want to feel like this all the time!” She fell in love instantly. After a few years of practicing she decided to train as an instructor.  She chose Yogafit because it was what she connected to the most at the time and the training is easily adaptable to all levels.

Jaymie Leigh is married to Spencer and they have two boys, Harper and Finn.  She is inspired by music and each of her classes has a new unique playlist.  She enjoys teaching yoga for the many benefits that she knows her mind and body are receiving.  The more she practices the more she grows.

She decided to become an instructor after taking classes for several years and experiencing benefits like decreased back pain, increased breath support for running, and increased flexibility.  She wanted to get certified to help show others how yoga can help them.

Rachel is married to Brian and they have two daughters, Olivia and Lucy.  She enjoys traveling, reading, running, and of course yoga.

Nikita

 Nikita Tarrants

Nikita was introduced to yoga about four years ago to help cope with anxiety.  Initially yoga was just a tool to help improve her anxiety and reduce stress.  Now yoga is part of her life.  It allows her to be more aware of her thoughts, her breath, and her body.  After feeling and seeing the benefits she was getting from yoga, she knew she needed to know more in order to share it with others.  So, in July 2019, she completed her teacher training with Big Rock Yoga Alliance.  The teacher training program allowed her to deepen her yoga practice and taught her how the mind, breath, body, and spirit are all connected.  Yoga has led her to discover more peace, balance, and self-acceptance.  She is passionate about encouraging others to grow their personal practice and to prioritize self-care, on and off the mat.  She is a speech-language pathologist in the schools.  She is married to Nate and has two boys, Asher and Aidan.  She enjoys doing anything outside, from hiking to just sitting and taking in the wonders in nature.  –“Keep peace in mind, strength in the body, love in the heart and let the light within SHINE”.
